Mpumalanga weekend getaway

This past long weekend a few friends and I took a trip to Mpumalanga. It was the first time I had ever been and let me tell you I will most certainly visit again and again.

I honestly never knew how beautiful it was and I've never even considered it as a holiday destination.I AM IN LOVE.

Apart from the amazing views there are loads of tree farms which seriously tickles my fancy.
There is something so mysterious and adventurous about running through the forrest.( Thanks Twilight )

We did not eat out much so i cannot really tell how good the food is,the main town of Graskop looks a little dodgy and i didn't really feel like getting sick. We stayed in small chalets on top of a mountain at Panorama View , which is insanely inexpensive. Though at night we chose not to venture past our porch in case of accidentally walking of a ledge.

Our "back yard"

We went to check out Sudwala Caves which was so incredibly cool, you have a guide who takes you for an hour tour throughout the whole cave. The cave used to be occupied by a Swazi king brother who was on the run and used the cave as his hide out.

Lisbon Falls which is the highest in the area at 92 m
